chat with michelle milne 03.27.06

me: complexity is totally overrated
michelle: i agree
maybe i should just be a character on tv
it would be easier than living my real life
right?
me: for the most part
michelle: down with complexity
me: but you'd have to put up with car chases and multiple break-ups per week and stuff like that
and break-downs
it all sounds very tiring to me
all the drama
michelle: oh
i mean, car chases, break ups, break downs... sounds exciting

me: for a day or two it would be
but then it gets dull and repetative
michelle: and more easy to handle than dealing with finding jobs and apartments and emotional complexities and strep throat
those are all hard
car chases are easy
you know who wins
but i suppose the repetition might get to me eventually
maybe i'd end up just aching to have a chipped-tooth problem that doesn't have to do with some beat-em-up fight
day in day out
could we have a parallel story in our action comedy with people dealing with very boring everyday problems?
making them into monumental, well, fights of some sort?
me: i was thinking the same thing
or even not dealing with anything
just getting along in a very boring way
michelle: yeah
that just made me laugh out loud
in the library
people are looking
